A Winter Update of sorts

We have had a fun and amazing winter so far. In the last couple months we have visited a condo with friends, visited the mountains to see one of my best friends, her husband and their new baby and had a ski/snowboard weekend away just the 2 of us. It's been a fun year so far!

One of DH's best friends is his cousin, we'll call him T, and I am close friends with his wife, M. We spend a lot of time with them and had an amazing weekend at a condo to celebrate T's birthday.

Then we took a trip to the mountains to visit my wonderful friend from college and her beautiful new baby! I wish I could see her more often, she grows so fast!

And just last weekend DH and I were able to get away for the whole weekend, just the 2 of us. We needed it so much - after dealing with IF for the past year it was nice to go just the 2 of us and relax and NOT talk about babies, pregnancy or money! We had a great time at dinner Friday night at an Irish Pub...

And on Saturday we spent the day on the mountain....

It was so snowy!

Weekend Away Here We Come!

DH and I are heading to the mountains for the weekend - I can't wait! It snowed all night last night and is supposed to snow all weekend up there so I hope the snow is good! It will be our first time up this season. I was kind of nervous since I'll be 4DPIUI tomorrow but my RE said I should be fine. I don't go super fast anyway and tend to stay on greens and blues but I'll be extra careful just in case there is anything trying to implant this weekend - hint, hint body - I want a baby!

IUI #4 Done!

And now we wait... I have become a professional at waiting let me tell you. Having IF AND a husband with UC has tested my patience many a time. And will continue to I'm sure!
I was kind of disappointed - his post wash numbers weren't very good but I guess I shouldn't be surprised. They weren't the worst we've seen but not the best. I'm just hoping those 3 follies make a difference for us! I have been feeling a lot of pressure on my right side last night and today, especially when I'm sitting so I'm hoping that's a good sign and that all 3 were the perfect size.

I have been torn about what to do in my 2WW - I have avoided hard workouts and done them exactly the same as normal on different cycles and it hasn't made a difference. I think I'm going to just go about my life normally and not worry about it. People get pregnant all the time right? If it's going to happen it will happen.

I kind of miss being in college and celebrating Fat Tuesday - it was always a good time. Instead I'll work out, shower and lay on the couch with the pups. I'm so old...

Trigger in T -55 minutes

I don't know why but I always get nervous. And I'm nervous because DH usually does it and he is at work so my sister is going to do it. I appreciate her so much! We're going to watch the video my RE gave me for her and then get it done! DH usually gets the shot ready with the powder, saline, needles etc so I'll do that this time. He did mark right where she should stick me though... Wish me luck!

Appointment with the Vag Cam

It sucks being up at 6:45 on a Saturday morning but at least we got good news! Did the usual 50mg of Clomid this month (CD5-9) and my right side produced 3 follies! 15, 17 and 19 so I'll trigger tomorrow night and IUI #4 will be Tuesday morning. Lining was 10 so my RE was really happy about everything.

The only downside of the timing is that DH usually gives me my shot in the butt and he'll be working tomorrow night... So I think I'll ask my wonderful sister to do it. I got the instructional video from RE so she can watch that. It's not hard, just nerve wracking.

The joke around here in the 2WW is I tell DH that the baby (with 1 folllie) or last month the twins (since I had 2 follies) were making me tired. I guess this 2WW it will be the triplets are making me tired! It's all in jest though - the chances of even 1 fertilizing with DH's numbers is SO low. But... Maybe we'll get lucky this cycle!

In news NOT IF related - I did the 30 Day Shred again last night and my shoulders and inner thighs are even more sore today. I'll take today off I think. We are doing our little Valentine's Day celebration tonight by making dinner. But... DH is totally tired and grumpy today and not feeling good at all. Ugh. I get that he is sick and has a disease but sometimes I want my old healthy husband back!

Exercise Directly to Happy Hour...

I did the 30 Day Shred last night for the first time... Waited around for DH to get home because I wanted him to do it with me but he got held up at work. Convenient yes?

Anyway... It got my heart rate up and I enjoyed it. I am sore today in muscles I guess I don't work enough on my own which is great. I LOVE being sore! I think I'm going to add it to the routine I already have in place. It will be an extra push to tone up before Mexico in April! Those new bikinis are begging for some tan and tone before I strut around in them in let's see... 68 DAYS! I love working out anyway and it's about time to mix it up a bit.

But then what do I go and do? Hit up happy hour with my DH! Kind of negates the workout (beers and an appetizer of course) but it was fun anyway. We kind of caught up and gossiped which I love to do with him. Overall it was a great night!

Weekend Fun

Had such a fun weekend in the mountians visiting friends. My dear friend has a 5 month old daughter and I just LOVE being around her! They are such a cute little family. It really does make me want a child of our own even more - I'm a little frustrated today by our infertility.
And it didn't help that when I got home and looked at Facebook I saw that an old friend from HS is pregnant with twins. And already has 2. Why do some get 4 and I get none?? The world is not fair!!
But... I started Clomid Saturday (CD5-9) and lets hope it doesn't make me as moody as it has in the past... DH is lucky he is working most of this week!!

Friidddaaaayyyy!

So ready for the weekend - so ready to head home from work and have a drinky... or 2... No plans tonight, just to hang out with the ever sick hubbs. Tomorrow we are heading to the mountains to visit friends and their beautiful 5 month old daughter. I will get a run in tomorrow morning - I WILL! Sunday I'm sure I'll be eating total crap while we watch the Super Bowl. Go Colts! I really don't care about either team but you have to pick one right?

It's been awhile!

Since I've posted. Not much is new, IUI#3 was a BFFN which was no surprise to us. I am frustrated we are here but also kind of ready for a break. We considered taking the next 3 months off but ended up deciding to do IUI#4 this cycle. One last try and then a break. March will be a good lazy month and April we are going to Mexico, woo hoo! So I'll be toning up for the next couple months since I'll be in a swim suit for a week.

That reminds me, I ordered 2 suits on clearance from VS and they came this week. Very cute but damn, I need a tan!
